Stump Grinding
Stump Grinding service is available for one to hundreds of Tree Stumps, however, KLC prefers stump height to be as low as possible with a maximum stump height of 18" without additional cut charges being imposed if a KLC site visit has not been made prior to customers estimate.
It is best if the customer contacts the free service provider BUD "Before You Dig", at 811, 5-days prior to scheduled appointment. Your locator will typically mark all utilities, but verify with the locator that he is checking for Telephone, Cable TV, or Fiber optics as they are not buried as deep as traditional utilities and should be located prior to stump removal.

Pricing:
Stump Grinding Rates: $375.00 minimum charge within a 20 mile radius of LaGrange, Ky. $1.50 per mile (one way) beyond 20 miles. Price is good for up to a 30" diameter stump up to 12" in height. Chip clean up & haul is NOT included in price but available at an additional charge. Additional stumps typically run $3.00 per inch of stump width while on site.
