Forestry Mulching
Forestry Mulching is a fairly new form of land clearing as mulching minimalizes sub soil disturbance while leaving a nutrient rich carpet of Bio Mulch, which provides nutrients while also stabilizing the soil to reduce erosion. If you are thinking about having your area cleared with a Bulldozer, you may want to check with your local county official prior to starting your clearing project as Civil Engineering, Silt Screens, and Water Runoff plans may be required.
KLC uses the latest low impact rubber tracked equipment to clear your project, thus keeping soil damage to a minimum vs wheeled or steel track equipment. In addition, our machinery runs at relatively low decibel level should work need to be performed in close proximity to a Business or Residential area.
Production Rate:
- KLC averages 4 acres per day for material <3" diameter
- KLC averages 2 acres per day for material <6" diameter

- Zero Waste! Mulching is a great way to reuse landscaping leftovers that would otherwise have to be hauled off to a landfill or burned. Depending on your area, you may have a full no burn law in effect or may have restricted Burn bans from April 1st to October 1st.
- Mulching is quick and can be done at any time of year.
Pricing:
- Equipment Deliver/Set Up: $200.00 up to 20 Miles, $2.00 per mile (one way) beyond 20 miles. This is a one time charge if equipment can be left in what KLC considers a secure site.
- Machine & Experienced Operator: 8-Hrs. $1750.00 , 4 Hrs. $1.000.00

Safety Concerns:
- A Yard Sign shall be displayed at work entrance or work area with a warning to remain 300ft from operator at all times & requesting that all inquiries only be made via email or posted number while machines are in operation.
-OSHA approved safety equipment shall be used at all times. This includes clothing, helmet, face shield and eye/ear protection.
